Make a Bear

Happy New Year to You from Stuff a Zoo! Another year, another birthday!

The new year brings lots of birthday celebrations. Finding that extra special birthday idea is only a click away. We have had much success over the past several years with our home birthday parties. Why? Becuase we offer everything needed to make a bear at home. It is really that simple. You order and we ship it right to your door. Plus, we offer some creative birthday ideas that you just can't find with other bear stuffing companies. For starters, we are the only company that offers the Official Zoo Keeper card instead of the standard birth certificate. Included with your order is a pack of crayons to fill out and color the Zoo Keeper Card. On top of that, we created the original Bake 'n Bear Birthday where the kids get to "Stuff a Zoo ... Bake a Cake, too!" With these birthday packs, all kids get to make a bear or other zoo animal, bake a cake and decorate it, decorate a t-shirt, and get creative with our coloring sheets available on our website for free.

We are pleased to say that we have many happy customers all over the United States and Canada. We would be honored to add you to our list. Thank you for considering us for your make-a-bear needs.

Stuff your own animal. You are the Zoo Keeper!

Here at Stuff a Zoo, it's not just about stufffing your own animal. It's about getting to know your animal. At our zoo, each child becomes the Official Zoo Keeper. That's right! There is no more 'birth certificate' or 'adoption paperwork'. Our documents show you (the stuffer) as the Official Zoo Keeper of the adorable new stuffed animal. We have taken our original Zoo Keeper Card to a whole new level by allowing your child to evaluate their new animal's habitat. We focus on words such as habitat, species, and survival, which takes on a more educational approach. On the back of each card, there are two sections. Your child will be able to draw and color their animal in its natural habitat and in its zoo habitat. It even asks your child what their new stuffed animal will need to survive. Each stuffed animal kit comes with a pack of four crayons.

Our Stuffed Animal Company is Growing

Wonderful new things are happening here at Stuff a Zoo! Here in 2008, we have started with the introduction of Zeb. He is our adorable new mascot, and also the Zoo Keeper here at Stuff a Zoo. Over the next few weeks and months, many new characters will be joining Zeb. We will be reconfiguring our website to make it more user friendly, as well as have interative modes. Stuff a Zoo is a growing company, and we would like for our customers to keep coming back. Because of this, we feel the need to make our website the most inviting place you can find to shop for your cuddly stuffed animal kits. So, keep checking back here at Stuff a Zoo. You are sure to enjoy watching the incredible changes that are soon to come.

Themed Birthday Parties

Stuffed animal parties are a fun way to create birthday memories. Our stuffable animal kits work well with any themed birthday party. How can this be achieved? Simply by adding an outfit that matches the theme you are working towards. For example, if you are having a sports party, add a basketball, baseball, or soccer uniform. If you are having a unicorn themed party, stuff a unicorn and pick a special outfit for the unicorn to wear. We even have a 50's ensemble to choose if you are throwing a 50's themed party. As you can see, the possibilies are endless!

Sunday

Kids Stuffed Animal Birthday Party

Okay! So it is that time again... Birthday Party Time!
What kind of party will it be this year? That is the annual question. How about a Bake 'n Bear Birthday Bash! With our exclusive party packs, each child will get a stuffable animal, stuffing, wishing star, birth certificate, t-shirt to decorate, and a microwavable cake for one. All of this is shipped right to the door. You will have everything you need to keep your party guests occupied. A birthday party at home is really easy. Here is how it might work:

  • Start wtih a coloring craft: As the kids are arriving, let each child color a zoo themed coloring page. Have this already set up at a table so the kids havea natural transition when they arrive. You may also consider a paper bag puppet.

  • Once everyone is there and the kids have chatted a bit at the table, give each child their animal to stuff. Go over the directions that are included in each kit. Make a wish and insert the wishing star before closing the animal up.

  • Upon completing the stuffing, have each child fill out the birth certificate.

  • After the kids have named their animal, give them each a blank t-shirt to decorate. Use fabric markers because these dry quickly.

  • While the shirts are set aside to dry, have the kids sit in a circle and introduce their new stuffed animal friend to the party guests.

  • Next, have the kids come back to the table to make their 'paw-sized' microwavable cakes. There is really no need for a large cake. Follow the directions included in the cake kits. Once mixed (everything is inluded, even the mixing and baking dish), bake in the microwave for about 1 minute and 10 seconds. Times will vary. Ice the cakes and eat. YUM! Don't forget to invite your new stuffed zoo animal to enjoy the cake.

  • Gather around to open presents.

  • Run, play, and visit with your new friends.

  • Say good-bye to your party guests, and relax. It was a fun and exciting party that your child will never forget.

Stuff a Teddy Bear at Home

Convenient, Affordable and FUN! With the founding of Stuff a Zoo®, there is no more traveling to the mall for your favorite stuffed animal kit. Now you can have the perfect shopping experience from the comfort of your own home. Your favorite zoo animals are shipped right to you. You get everything needed to stuff your animal. We don't have the same overhead that mall stores have. Therefore we can pass the savings on to you. We want you to compare our prices. We know you will find that our prices are much lower than the mall stores. You get the same quality but pay much less. So, when you go to throw your next birthday party, make it a Stuff a Zoo® party. Oh, and did we mention the stuff-it-yourself factor. There are absolutely no machines used to stuff our animals. What does that mean? It means the kids really are the ones stuffing the animal. They are not standing there while someone else blows fluff into the stuffed animal. As we say here at the zoo, "Kids stuff 'em with their own paws."

Founding Stuff a Zoo®

HI! My name is Molly, and I am the proud owner of Stuff a Zoo®. In addition to being the founder of Stuff a Zoo, which originated in 2005, I have 15 years as an early childhood educator. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Reading and Literacy. I am married to an educator as well, and we have two wonderful children.
Stuff a Zoo® was founded out of a desire to build something that is my own. With kids already being a primary focus in my life, a kid-friendly business seemed natural. In researching business ventures, I decided to tap into the teddy bear business, and more specifically, the 'make your own teddy bear' business. After all, teddy bears are not a fad. As long as there are children, there will be teddy bears. In addition to the basic teddy bear, Stuff a Zoo® focuses on providing a variety of other zoo animals. With the creation of the original Bake 'n Bear Birthday Bash, birthday parties are a huge part of our business. Stuff a Zoo® provides quality, variety, service, and does it all at an affordable price. With the business growing daily, and marketing to people all across the USA, Stuff a Zoo® will continue to 'paw' its way to the top of the stuff a bear industry. In the midst of this growth, thanking our customers is always a priority, so thank you for helping us build a business we are proud of.
