Kids Birthday Party Games - Great for Zoo Parties
Go Fishing Party Game
Take a large piece of plywood to make a screen. Paint it to match the ocean. It needs to be short enough for the kids to cast their rods over. Or, if you are on time constraints, you can use fish/ocean fabric to make a panel to sit behind. Buy a cheap toy fishing rod from the local dollar store. Add a clothes pin to the end. While an adult is sitting behind the screen, the birthday party kids will cast their rods over the screen. As the rod hangs over the screen, a party treat is added tot he rod. The child then lifts the rod to retrieve the treat.
Duck Pond Party Game
Take a small baby pool and fill it with water. REMEMBER!! DO NOT leave children unattended near standing water. Buy some inexpensive plastic floating ducks from the dollar store. You may be able to find these in the toy section or the baby section. Write numbers on the bottom of the ducks (1-5) and let them float in the pool. You will also have laundry baskets labeled 1-5. In these baskets you will have different types of prizes for each number. Have the kids take turns picking a duck. They will then go over to the corresponding basket to retrieve a prize.
You can use this party game in a lot of different ways. For example, if you are playing BINGO and a child wins, you may have this be the prize pool. The winner of BINGO could come pick a duck, and then based on their number, that would determine the prize they would win.
Pin the Tail on the Donkey Party Game(or get creative and use a different Zoo animal that you draw on poster board)
In the party section at most dollar stores, you can probably find a pre-made game. OR, take poster board and make your own. If you are having a zoo party, maybe try a large lion. You could make a cute little tail out or yard to go with your lion. Add a piece of sticky adhesive/tape to this and have the party kids try to put it in the correct place. Don't forget to blindfold the children.
Zoo Animal Charades Party Game
Have small pieces of paper with different animals written on them. The kids can be split into partners or work along. The kids will draw an animal. They will then act it out with the party guests trying to guess the zoo animal. You may even want to have a prize for the child that guesses correctly.
Guess the Gummy Bear Party Game
As the kids arrive at the party, have them guess the number of gummy bears (or other animal candy) you have placed in a clear jar. When the party is over, the child with the closest guess gets to take the candy jar home. They will love this!
Zoo Animal Hot Potato Party Game
Buy some inexpensive hard plastic zoo animals from the dollar store. Don't buy ones that are too small. Have the kids sit in a circle. Start some music. If possible, get some animal related music or kids' party music. It needs to be fairly upbeat in order to get them excited. When the music starts, they will start passing the animal. When the music stops, the child with the animal wins the animal as a prize. Repeat. If you want, you can have the winner move out of the circle to watch, or have them sit in the middle of the circle with their prize.
One of the most difficult parts of a home birthday party is feeling like you have to keep the kids entertained. Quite honestly, they come expecting to be entertained. I hope these party games can add one more activity to your already fun and exciting stuffed animal party.

Make a Bear
Happy New Year to You from Stuff a Zoo! Another year, another birthday!
The new year brings lots of birthday celebrations. Finding that extra special birthday idea is only a click away. We have had much success over the past several years with our home birthday parties. Why? Becuase we offer everything needed to make a bear at home. It is really that simple. You order and we ship it right to your door. Plus, we offer some creative birthday ideas that you just can't find with other bear stuffing companies. For starters, we are the only company that offers the Official Zoo Keeper card instead of the standard birth certificate. Included with your order is a pack of crayons to fill out and color the Zoo Keeper Card. On top of that, we created the original Bake 'n Bear Birthday where the kids get to "Stuff a Zoo ... Bake a Cake, too!" With these birthday packs, all kids get to make a bear or other zoo animal, bake a cake and decorate it, decorate a t-shirt, and get creative with our coloring sheets available on our website for free.
We are pleased to say that we have many happy customers all over the United States and Canada. We would be honored to add you to our list. Thank you for considering us for your make-a-bear needs.
